Your membership makes a difference! As a member of the Grant School PTA, your dues support;- Each teacher receives $160 at the beginning of the year to assist with classroom expenses.
- Each grade receives, $750 to be used across the grade level for special events, field trips, supplies, book sets, etc. - now more than ever, this is needed due to the stiff CPS budget and recent cuts
- Each child receives a ticket and transportation to a field trip to a local play
- PTA supports yearbook production and distribution
- School dance
- Funesta
- Purchase of a Friday folder and support stuffing them each week
- Babysitting services at PTA meetings
- Production and delivery
- Landscaping, extra mulch, floral plantings and their maintenance
- Playground maintenance and improvements, some equipment
- Language Club scholarships, summer school scholarships
- Back to School Potluck – paper goods, etc.
- Thanksgiving meal for teachers and staff
- Special equipment as needed
- 4th and 5th grade basketball team
- 5th grade graduation activities
- All qualifying 5th graders to MU reading day
